Sergio Tarantino received his BSc degree and MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Pisa, Italy, respectively in 2009 and 2012, and his PhD in BioRobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, in 2018. His PhD research activities focused on the myokinetic approach for hand prosthetic control by the study of theorical models for the localization of magnetic sources solving optimization problems throught minimization algorithms.
He is currently a post-doc at The BioRobotics Institute. His research interests mainly include real-time measurements and data analysis for artificial upper limb control. Other research interests are related to classification problems and innovative bio-sensors with particular attention to surface EMG acquisition.
