Mattia Gentile is a Research Fellow in the Artificial Hands Area of the Biorobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa. He defended his master’s thesis in Biomedical Engineering in July 2022 with a psychophysical experiment about the delivery of muscle-tendon vibrations on the healthy hand, to elicit illusory movement sensations.
He helped design the experimental protocol for the first human study of the MYKI interface, in particular focusing on feedback delivery through untethered muscle-tendon vibrations through implanted magnets.
