Daniele D’Accolti is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Artificial Hands Are of The BioRobotics Institute. He received his M.Sc degree in Bionics Engineering from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2018, and his Ph.D. in BioRobotics from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, in 2022. During PhD studies, his research activities focused on the design, development and testing of a clinically viable myoelectric control for transradial wrist-hand prostheses. He authored several peer-reviewed scientific papers in scientific journals in the field of prosthetics and robotics. He has been working on several EU and nationally funded R&D projects (CECA2020, DeTOP, ARLEM, MYKI, MOTU++, WIFIMYOHAND, FIT4MEDROB). His main activity in the MYKI project focuses on the interpretation of the magnets’ localization signals to restore a natural control for the prosthetic user.
