Francesco Clemente received his BSc degree and MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Pisa, Italy, respectively in 2009 and 2012, and his PhD in BioRobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy, in 2016. His PhD research activities focused on the design, development and testing of wearable devices for restoring sensory feedback to upper limb amputees wearing a prosthetic hand. He is currently Assistant Professor at The BioRobotics Institute and, besides MYKI, he is involved in national and European research projects, such as NEBIAS and DeTOP. His research interests mainly include the development of robotic hands and sensory feedback devices for upper limb amputees, but widens to the whole field of upper limb prosthetics.
